French "Lip" electronic Super Compressor 200m dive watch, 1960s

This is a very neat and unusual late 1960s diver, the Lip Nautic-ski. It is a super compressor design, with double crowns. One is the standard crown for time-setting, the upper one is for rotating the internal indicator ring.

The watch uses an electronic movement, the in-house R184. it is a thirteen-jewel movement.

Jacques Cousteau wore one of these in his undersea adventures.

  • Fully serviced

  • R184 movement hacks, date is not quickset

  • Lume is tritium

  • Dial shows some marks - a few scratches, and some circular swirling from a loose hand at some point

  • Crystal is original, and has some marks

  • Case is in original polish

  • Caseback seal is new

  • Crowns are original with their original seals

  • 36mm with 18mm lugs, 14.75mm thick.

  • Original water resistance was 200m but this watch is not water resistant at all. At best it is dustproof.
