Super cool early 70s (probably) Rodania “Super Waterproof” chronograph with skin diver bezel.

• The 248 is a seriously overlooked movement. Every bit as good as an equivalent Valjoux 7733. Top button is start, bottom is stop / reset. Running seconds at 9.

• 37.3mm wide not counting crown, 42.3 long, 20.3 lugs. Don’t know why all measurements had an extra .3mm, but they did.

• Solid stainless case with sealed pushers.

• Case in original unpolished condition with signs of wear but no abuse

• Caseback marked “2439 20” in addition to the regular markings

• I fully rebuilt the case - surgically clean, and all new seals, including the crown which I took apart and rebuilt with a new gasket.

• NOS crystal, vintage acrylic

• Bakelite Indicator ring / bezel. Smoothly turning bi-directional. Ring is plated brass, and has some brassing around the coin edge knurling.

• Beautiful seal / slate grey glossy enamel dial with lovely butter toned tritium lume and gloss white painted markers, text, and hands.

• Hand lume is slightly patina’d down darker.

• Landeron 248 movement is in excellent condition, fully serviced by me less than two months ago.

• NOS mainspring

• Bracelet is a vintage generic I liked the look of on this watch. Originally, it would have come on a perforated / rally strap, small holes.
