For sale is this Seiko 6105-8119 “Resist” Willard 150m dive watch. It had one owner before me - the original owner. He bought it in the Philippines when he was in the service during the Vietnam War.

  • May 1971.

  • Watch is original and original to itself, with a service handset.

  • All lume is original

  • Dial text is clear and present.]

  • STRAP (optional) Swiss-made TROPIC MOD DEP vintage strap in great flexible condition, with ACIER buckle.

  • SEIKO logo is really nice. Clean, fully intact frosted surfaces on that as well as the marker tops.

  • DIAL: all lume is original and original to this watch. I cleaned the lume with my Revitalume process, bringing it back nice and bright. Dial and hands still glow just a bit, actually.

  • HANDS: Genuine Seiko 6105 hands, all original including the lume. Sweep hand is excellent. This is a service handset as the original handset was badly damaged by moisture, so I put in a set I’ve had saved for years.

  • INSERT: Inset is ghosted, reflecting the active military life this watch lived. Pip is present and in good condition. There is a small gap in the insert at the bottom of the pip. The pip and insert are solid and good.

  • MOVEMENT: 6105B hacking movement is original to this watch. Fully serviced a few months ago by me. Movement hacks correctly. The upper and lower mainspring arbor port / bushing have been machined out and new KVW American-made jewels installed, making the watch a 19j. The original 6105B winding bridge with an NOS 6119A two-screw winding bridge and A-type weight. The original 6105B bridge will be included with the watch.

  • POWER RESERVE: on my wrist, it runs -3 / +5 seconds a day, typically. Power reserve is 45 hours or so.

  • CASE: Original polish, clean case lines, no pitting or damage to any sealing surface. The watch shows wear but not abuse. Top brushing is still very much present. Caseback is very good, in original polish.

  • CROWN: crown locks correctly and firmly. I rebuilt the crown with a new custom seal. The rebuild is invisible; crown is in excellent functional and cosmetic shape.

  • Rotating ring turns smoothly bi-directional, with light indexing. The click ball is original to the watch and is down into the case slightly.

  • Crystal is a KVW Type III.
