This is a fully restored example of the 35-jewel 6218 weekdater. These were a serious “Salaryman” watch in their day, and were a larger case size than similar watches at the time. Slightly longer lugs as well, so it has some real added elegance and wrist presence.

These have the movement 6218, which like the essentially identical 6216 and 6246 Grand Seiko movements, are a high-end old school movement. The 6216 movement and models are called “Baby GS” because aside from dial branding and the caseback info, they’re exactly the same as the GS. This, having a movement two jewels different (mainspring arbors top and bottom) is then like a “baby baby GS”.
