Seiko 7005-8030 - rarest of the Mac-V / SOG watches - fully serviced

$1,675.00

Seiko 7005-8030 17j watch, Vietnam Mac-V/SOG, rarest model of the three known Seiko models used.

This was was a low-miles watch, entirely original as I found it. I do not know the ownership history beyond that I found it at an estate sale years ago, and there were a few other U.S. military items there of the Vietnam War era - clips for an m1911A1, a boonie hat, etc. The company running the sale had no information to give. Despite the age the movement was very good, dial and hands excellent. The only signs of wear were the mainspring arbor ports, which were worn. The original owner was active. The rest of it was fine after the arbor repairs and full servicing.

This is the rarest of the “known” Vietnam models. The available documentation we have, primarily “Running Recon” does not show casebacks or have casing numbers, only dial shots. The watch is complete and original to itself.
